You cannot succeed in life with partial surrender to Christ. Your example will be noticed by others if you are being changed by God’s Word in your life.
Our gifts and talents have been given to us by God. Give God all your abilities and where you’re weakest for God to use. How to meditate on God’s word: think it over, memorize it.
Training your mind involves, reading, persuading others, doctrine: what you really believe. Exhortation means how we communicate to others. Your beliefs effect your behavior.
Being an example of God’s love chooses Christ’s love to control us rather than bitterness. He cares about us enough to give us His love that will cause us to be a victor over the painful circumstances of life.
Elders are to preach God’s word and they are to be an example in what they say or don’t say. Be an example by the way you live out your life. We can only show God’s love to others by spending time in God’s presence.
The ‘keeping of their souls’ involves committing the deep down of you to the Lord’s control. The details of life line up when your heart is right. Living out the day to day things is how God works out his eternal plan for you.
You can’t hide your sin. Judgement for sin is sure. Sin must be punished, but if you accept the gift of salvation and ask Christ for forgiveness you will be saved from that eternal judgement.
There is no judgement for those who are saved, but we are disciplined as God’s children so that we may be changed. Revival begins when God’s children obey and then spreads to unbelievers.
We can bring the impossible areas of our life to God that we feel we can’t change. He gives us the “want to” to turn over our habits, thoughts and heart to Him.
