Word of God

God looks at us through the perfection of Jesus’ sacrifice and sees us blameless. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God purifies our character.

Whenever God shows up in our life that’s when the Holy Spirit is in control. The Holy Spirit controlling our life produces the fruits of the Spirit.

We are compared to sheep who wander off. Jesus is shown as the shepherd who goes after us and brings us back. He supplies every aspect of our needs as we let him care for us.

Review of key points in 1 Peter: feed on the Word of God, living as strangers in a foreign land is how we are to be living in the world.

To feed on God’s Word means you read, meditate, memorize, pray and do it. As a living stone God has a divine purpose for your life despite what the circumstances. We are a royal priesthood.

The fact that we have received salvation requires action. Get rid of malice, or bitterness. We need to surrender all areas to Christ.

The Word of God is alive and active and doesn’t change. It will change our lives as we read it, memorize it, meditate and get it into our unconscious minds.

Holiness in action is as a result of our salvation. Being born again is a new life aquired without money, society or human effort.

Commitment to faith in Christ comes from your love of Him. Joy is the result of the surrender of your life to God.

God keeps us through His Holy Spirit, His Word and His power that can control our lives. Hide God’s Word in your heart and mind so it changes how you live.
